Market Research A Great Work From Home Idea

When you are looking for work from home ideas, it is important to keep in mind all of the traditional part time jobs that people used to do before the internet. Sure there are many opportunities online, but some of the old style work at home jobs are alive and well. One example is market research.

When you work for a market research company, you are asking people to tell you about their lifestyle and habits, especially where it relates to what they buy. Most people enjoy doing this type of work which allows you to meet people or talk on the phone.

The style of the work can vary. A lot of market research is done by phone, but face to face interviewing is also popular. This may mean standing at the mall interviewing shoppers, or visiting people at home.

If you need to be home with the kids, you will want to limit your work from home ideas to things that can be done at home, like telephone surveys. If not, you may enjoy mixing it up and getting out of the house sometimes.

The best type of personality for a market researcher is probably somebody who is friendly and interested in people, without being too talkative. The point is not to talk about yourself but to get the other person to talk, so it’s useful to have the skills of a good listener.

Most people are happy to be interviewed and talk about their preferences, if they are not in a rush for some reason. However, from time to time you may approach a person who turns out to be difficult. They may vent some anger or even give you abuse about what they see as your intrusion into their lives. It is very important to be able to handle this well.

When you run into that kind of difficulty, always stay polite, and move on. Understand that the abuse or anger is directed at the policies of the company you are working for, not at you yourself. Do not take it personally.

Unlike other work from home ideas, you can begin market research interviewing with very little equipment. You will want a phone of course, and access to a computer so that your supervisor can send you paperwork by email. It is useful to have a fax machine for the same reason, but not essential.

If you will be meeting people in person, then the company that employs you will usually require that you look presentable with the same kind of dress standards that you would wear for an office job. If all of your work is calling people on the phone, dress does not matter, of course, but they will want you to have a clear and pleasant voice.

If you can speak a second language, always mention this when you are looking for market research jobs. Language skills are often useful and you may be able to claim a higher rate of pay for interviewing in Spanish, Asian languages or whatever you can speak. In summary, always make the most of any skills that you have when you are applying for work and considering work from home ideas.

A Proven Shortcut To Making Money With Internet Marketing

How To Find A Lucrative Niche Market

I know that not all people who visit this blog are professional Internet marketers and in fact this blog is designed with newbie marketers in mind. However, some of my visitors have been at this business for a little while and are familiar with using keywords to drive traffic to affiliate products in order to sell these products and make some cash.

In fact affiliate marketing is how most began making money with Internet marketing, but sometimes we lose sight of the fact that marketing is all about the people and not the product. We find a interesting product, start promoting it and just hope someone wants to buy it.

To be really successful you must match a group of people that have a burning desire for something with a product that fills that desire and you will make bank. This takes some thinking to come up with keywords that match such a group. Here’s an example. Most woman have a strong desire to spend money improving their looks but the beauty market is so ginormous it will be almost impossible to get your little website ranked on the first page for a keyword like “look beautiful”. Too many other big companies are already there fighting for the number one listing in Google. So you need to find a sub market or niche market that has to do with beauty.

The way to do that is with niche keywords that match a hungry niche market. Here’s how this works…

Staying in the beauty market, research shows that wigs are a big sales item but that’s also a huge market so you have to break it up into smaller chunks like types and kinds of wigs. For example, the keyword -Beyonce Wigs- 8100 searches per month! Competition is p-r-e-t-t-y easy with only 16,000 exact match competition or -Beyonce Front Lace Wigs – 2000 searches per month!! Only 318 competition. (Just write an article and you’ll be on the first page…easy!) Here’s another kind of wig -Remy Front Lace Wigs- 5400 searches last month and only 1,180 competition!

These wigs go for an average of $400 and they sell! Some of the highest grossing Paypal shops in the beauty category are shops with all kinds of celebrity wigs. So now it gets even better… Beyonce is NOT the only celebrity women want to emulate. There’s also Jessica Alba, Jennifer Hudson, Ashley Simpson, Reese Witherspoon, Brandy, Eva Longoria, Whitney Houston, Halle Berry, Tyra Banks…

And it goes on and on and on!

You could nail top spots on most of those celebrity names by using them in conjunction with ‘wig’ or ‘lace wig’. This is also known as an EVERGREEN niche…meaning it will always be there. People were selling wigs way back in the 1700’s and they’ll sell today and they’ll sell 100 years from now. Do you see why this is such a lucrative niche? It’s because women have a burning passion to be attractive, beautiful and be like the people they admire. This works with men as well.

You could probably…by spending a little time with this make a living just in the “Celebrity Wig Market”. The question now is exactly do I find these lucrative niche market keywords?

Well, in the past it took me many hours of keyword research, watching Google trends and just plain brainstorming but that’s the long and hard way to find these special keywords for niche markets. I have found a better way to do it and the time I save doing tedious keyword research I can spend on making more money.

Here’s the secret… You can have lucrative niches just like the “Celebrity Wig Market” delivered to your inbox…EVERYDAY! No more getting up early in the morning to do research! This is HOT! There’s a free report called “No Website…No Problem” and be sure to watch the video and you’ll discover 3 more lucrative niches for free… This Is PERFECT For People Who Are “Overwhelmed” And Just Want The Fastest And Easiest Way To GET STARTED! Here’s the link to get you started Niche Market Keywords

This information is exactly what could change your life and improve your financial future. It’s my shortcut to financial freedom for you. Truly an Internet marketing bonanza.

Secrets Of Making Money On eBay

Making money on eBay (R) may not be as easy as it used to be, but it is still possible. There are many people earning a good living from their eBay businesses.

Many people start out as eBay sellers by selling things around the house that they do not need. That is a great way to get experience of the eBay selling process and if you are just starting out with auction sales, you should not skip this step.

However, once you have learnt the basic selling process and built up some seller feedback, it is time to move on to something that can earn you more money with less effort.

When selling individual items, you will have noticed that it can take a long time to write and design a good eBay listing. Not only that but you have to take a photo and then edit and upload the photo. All of these things take time and it is not going to be worth your while selling a lot of different small items for 99 cents if you have to photograph and describe each one individually.

This means that the best way to be making money on eBay is to sell a lot of the same item, or just a small range of items. Then all that you have to do is write one listing, take one photo, and keep on repeating the listing.

It will also help buyers to trust you. This is because if you are listing a lot of the same type of thing, they can see that you are a serious seller of whatever you have decided to specialize in.

In fact, if you have two very different ranges of goods, such as children’s toys and domain names, you might want to set up different eBay accounts to sell them from. Otherwise there is a risk that somebody who is on the point of paying you $1,000 for a great website might change their mind when they check out your eBay store and find that it is full of furry toy animals.

What you sell will depend on the space that you have available in your home. Established sellers may rent warehouses but this is not usually an option when you are starting out. Of course, you can use drop shipping, but be aware that many others may be doing the same and these people will be in direct competition with you on eBay. Often it is better to use a site like alibaba.com to source imported goods.

Many business sellers find that it works out best to list items under Buy It Now. You can experiment with this for your particular range of goods. With auctions, it is true that you may sometimes have keen bidders pushing the price up high, but this is not so likely if you are selling repeat items.

Often, buyers are prepared to pay a little more to save the hassle of coming online to bid again and again before an auction ends, or missing out on the item completely. Buy It Now is often a simple and effective solution for both buyer and seller and can help you build a good business making money on eBay.

Making Money At Home The Easy Way

Making money at home is easy when you know how. That is what anybody would tell you. It is getting started that is always the difficult part. Get through those first few months and you will find that once the money starts coming in, it is easy to make it grow.

However, in the beginning it can be tough. It is important to understand this from the get go. If you are relying on being able to make the equivalent of a full time job income in the first month, you are probably going to be disappointed. There are usually some costs associated with making money at home and it takes time to build up the returns. In the first few months, you may even be spending more than you earn.

This is a real problem for many people when they start working from home as a self employed person or starting their own business. The way to deal with it is to make sure that you have some money coming in from another source while you build your business.

Let’s take an example. Say you have decided to build websites with Google Adsense advertising on them. This is a fairly simple internet business plan, especially if you use an interface like WordPress.org where the technical base of the sites is already built for you and you only have to tweak it. However, it takes time before you start to see a lot of visitors to the site. Your advertising revenue will depend very closely on how many site visitors you have, and so it may be a few months before you have enough sites and enough visitors to make anything more than a few dollars.

The good news is that there is always a way around this, that will cover your expenses and make some income right away. In this example you could immediately sell every fifth or every tenth site that you build. You can list them on marketplaces such as flippa.com and find buyers. Depending on the domain name, how much content you have on the site and whether the content is original, you could earn anything from $100 to $1000 for a new site.

That’s just one example. Another way to finance your new business would be to spend some of your time working for somebody who will pay for your time. You might do some market research, customer support, article writing for website owners, or even babysitting.

This may not be what you want to do in the long term, but it will get you through that initial rough period and help your business to survive. When you start out, it is important to find and easy way of making money at home so that your new home business has time to develop. Then you’ll be making money from home the easy way.

Finding Stay At Home Jobs

Over the last few years, it has become easier to find stay at home jobs. The expansion of the internet has meant that many more people are able to work from home and connect to their employers via a computer connection.

The range of jobs that you can do from home is wide. You can still find traditional stay at home jobs such as assembly work, by phoning large local manufacturers and asking them for work. You may find that there is a waiting list and that work is only available at certain times of year.

Manufacturers who are looking for people to do piecework, assembling furniture or other products, do not usually have to advertise. So if you see an advertisement for this type of work, be careful. Check out the company very thoroughly, because it could easily be a scam.

Be especially suspicious if they ask you to pay for anything – equipment, deposits, shipping, any kind of payment at all. A reputable manufacturer would not normally ask you for any payment, and will usually provide any special tools that you need.

Piecework jobs are often very badly paid. Manufacturers are able to pay low rates because there are usually enough people willing to work for low pay. Keep in mind that as you become more used to the work, you will get faster, and this means earning more per hour. However, stay at home jobs like these are not easy money.

To make a better return on your time, it is worth thinking about whether you have special interests or skills that people would pay for. What are you good at, that other people struggle with and might pay you to do for them?

Many of us have trouble thinking about our positive points, so you might find it helpful to ask a supportive friend or a former work colleague to list your strengths for you. They will probably say some things that will surprise you, and some may turn out to be marketable skills.

An interesting way to make money from home is to become a stock photographer. You need to be able to take good, professional quality digital photos, and then you simply upload them to the internet for others to purchase.

You will register your photographs with one of the many stock photograph sites online. They have customers who visit the site to find photos that they can use on their websites. This means that you do not have to worry about marketing, it will be done for you by the stock photo library.

Each picture that you take may be downloaded by many different customers. The amount that you earn per download is small, but when you have a large number of photos available on the site it can add up to a good income.

This is a good example of a way to work from home that capitalizes on a person’s individual skills. Even if you are no photographer, you probably have some skills of your own. Make a list now and investigate whether some of them could be turned into stay at home jobs.

3 Big Work From Home Scams

Work from home scams are a sad fact of life. A lot of people blame them on the internet, but the truth is that these scams have certainly been around as long as the post office, and probably longer. They used to be run by mail, out of a post office box, with advertising in newspapers, magazines, bulletin boards or leaflets through your door.

These days, the advertisements often arrive in the form of email. Why? Because it’s cheap. In fact, it’s virtually free. There are no direct mailing costs. The spammer (it’s usually spam) has to pay for a web server to send the email from, but this does not cost very much. Still, the ads themselves are often the same old thing that they always were.

1. The Stuffing Envelopes Scam

Filling and addressing envelopes for direct advertising was something that used to be outsourced to homeworkers decades ago, before the invention of word processing and mass mailout machines. These days, it is virtually all done by mailing companies. They can print addresses to look like handwriting if that is what the advertiser wants, and do thousands of envelopes fast and cheaply.

If you see an advertisement telling you to send $10 to find out how to make money by stuffing envelopes, it will probably be a scam. All you will receive will be a letter telling you to put up ads in your local area to have people send you $10 to find out how to make money by stuffing envelopes, so that you can send them the same letter. That is if anybody even replies.

2. The Pyramid Scheme Scam

Pyramid schemes are based around the idea that you pay a sum of money, say $10, then recruit 10 people who pay you, so you make $90. For example you have probably seen a chain letter or email that tells you to send a certain amount to the person at the top of a list, then add your name to the bottom of the list and send the letter on to everybody that you know. That is a pyramid scheme.

Pyramid schemes are illegal. They are different from multi level marketing programs, where you may again aim to recruit a certain number of customers but they are buying a product. If people are buying a product or service that is worth the money, it’s generally OK. If they are just handing over money for nothing, it’s an illegal scam.

3. The Computer Software Scam

This is an updated version of the old work from home scams where you would be sold expensive equipment that would enable you to do some highly skilled job that you were told was in high demand.

For example, when doctors began having to submit claims electronically in the USA, a demand grew up for people to do that for them. They didn’t want to have to buy the special software themselves and then have their skilled nursing staff waste time entering data.

So companies that made this type of software, began marketing it as something that you could do at home. ‘Just spend $500 on our software, train yourself in 24 hours and start making money entering data for doctors!’ said the ads.

A lot of people fell for it, bought the software and then found they had no clients. The doctors were all giving their business to large, reputable data entry companies. They didn’t want random home workers to have access to their patients’ confidential records. The aspiring home workers were out $500 and a lot of wasted time.

Whenever you see an ad that says ‘Buy this and then make $x by using it’, be suspicious. Is there really a demand for the skills that you will have? If not, it could be one of the many work from home scams.

Important Tips For Starting A Successful Home Based Business

In my last post I talked about building your own system for financial freedom. In this post I’m going to go over some tips for starting a successful home based business.

The thrill of growing your business, the freedom and flexibility to set your own hours, and the possibilities of ever-increasing financial rewards are all wonderful reasons to start your home
based business.

Now that you’ve decided to start your business, you might be wondering “How can I get it off to the strongest possible start?” These seven tips will help:

I set up a separate working space in my home. This is my office and it is where I conduct business. It doesn’t matter if this is a small bedroom, one part of the garage, or a corner of the living room. The important thing is to have some space that you can designate as your working area. This will give you the space and room you need to start building your dream.

Be sure to stock your working space with materials. This sounds basic, perhaps, but one underlying element of success is that you have easy access to the tools, materials, and other resources you need.
Gathering everything close by also keeps you from wasting time searching for it, so this step can be considered a time management strategy, too.

Speaking of time management, your third step is to define the parameters of your business. What days and hours will you work? When will you market? When will you provide services or products to clients? How will you keep all of this straight?

Balance action with planning. One of the most common pitfalls to successful entrepreneurship is getting too caught up in action without enough planning. Stated another way, this means that you confuse “being busy” with “working on important projects.” The best approach is to plan your next couple of goals and then work backwards to create step by step action plans to reach them. Once you have the plan, then it’s time to take the action.

Network like crazy. This is one of the fastest ways to grow any business by making connections with other people. Be sure to share your passion and enthusiasm with others at every opportunity. Let people know who you are and what you offer. Remember, people can’t buy if they don’t know you’re selling.

Present a professional image. If you want to be treated professionally, present a professional image. Set up a separate bank account for your business. Install a separate phone and fax line. Create professional marketing materials. Be courteous and pleasant in all your customer facing interactions. Basically, be someone people want to do business with.

Automate your business as much as possible. Granted, you are just one person (right now) and might have a lot of extra time to take care of all the details. This might work for now, but won’t work into the future as you get busier and busier. It’s best to set up automatic systems and processes right from the start to free up your time to concentrate on the most profitable activities.

These simple tips will get your home business started (and growing) in the right direction.

How To Achieve Financial Freedom

In my last post I talked about how important it is to have a good internet marketing plan for your business. This time I’m going to go over someof the steps needed to build your own system for financial freedom.

Every entrepreneur knows that setting goals is crucial to business success. If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know when you’ve arrived? Or, more importantly, when you’re heading in
completely the wrong direction?

If you’re the owner of a small business, what is your goal?

To make it to the end of the month with enough money in the bank
to cover the bills?

To take a vacation for the first time in five years?

Every small business owner should have the same goal – sooner or later, to become independent of the business. Small businesses turn into big businesses only when they are able to operate smoothly without the owner being present. When you can stay away for a week, or a month, or a year, and return to find the business running better than before you left, you have the opportunity to do whatever you like – sell the business and start a new one, retire, buy a yacht and sail around the world.

True financial independence is the ability to live your life doing what YOU want to do. Do you really want to show up for work an hour early every day, leave late at night and never take a holiday,
for the rest of your life? Surely not.

What are some safe strategies for financial freedom?

It’s simple. You need a system in place so that everyone in your business knows exactly what’s expected of them.

When you take on a new employee, how do they learn what they’re expected to do? Does an existing employee take them in charge, explaining how things work? How can you be sure that the new
employee is learning what you want them to know?

As the owner of the business, it’s your job to ensure that a system is put in place as the business grows. The system will ensure that everyone knows what they need to know to do their job effectively.

How do you think companies like McDonald’s are able to manage thousands of restaurants across the planet? McDonald’s Head Office doesn’t sell hamburgers. They sell franchises, and their customers are the franchisees. The most valuable asset they have is their system. It regulates what employees wear, the words they say to customers, how many seconds a patty is left on the grill. to variables within their business, every contingency is dictated by the system.

The system makes it possible for new employees to fit in. They are educated on ‘how we do things around here’. They are taught the specifics of their job. They may be required to sign a performance agreement.

In a well-designed system, there is still space for individual creativity. Better ways of doing things should always be sought out and encouraged – and written into the system for the future.

The system provides the framework for ensuring that the business is never entirely dependent on any one person. If you own the business, your future depends on the quality of your system.

Home Internet Based Business Marketing Plan

In my last post I talked about choosing the right opportunity for you. In this one I’m going to talk about using a good Internet marketing plan for your business.

It’s no big news to say that the Internet has transformed how world business thrives. Companies of all sizes are taking the power of web marketing and using it to promote their products and services. This is the norm amongst companies starting up who desire a fast and vast global reach.

Sites like PRWeb and PRlog allow you to submit a press release on your latest innovation and have it read by thousands of viewers on Google news. Not to mention that those sites have a high ranking on the search engines so provided your press releases are written properly informative, showing the benefits, and optimized for search engines with the correct choice of keywords used to find your products that press release will be found over and over again.

It’s all about clickthroughs. This is the action someone takes when a site link or button is pressed to open a web page containing details of the product or service. Depending on the suitability to the interested visitor, this could be a conversion to a sale. This is the essence of the Internet in marketing for businesses.

Google offer a wonderful set of tools to augment any plans set out by the marketing department or the sole marketer. Google analytics allows you to track all your visitor activity and conversions and plan out campaigns around those findings. You can research the right keywords that will allow your site pages to rank high in the search engines so people will find your site.

Using the Internet, you can build a fast mailing list by starting a blog and inviting people to opt-in for a newsletter or a free product. This in turn provides a good ROI (Return On Investment) that other forms of media cannot compete with. Your web site is operating 24/7, literally taking orders while you sleep. This has left many traditional channels for media exposure quite redundant which is why so many magazines have spent a lot of time crafting a web presence.

There are many aspects of Internet marketing strategies that will drive a business. You can send email newsletters that launch a product or new benefit to a mailing list. Video has invited a wealth of possibilities by inviting viral marketing with video clips showing business promotions. YouTube has become a platform for business launches as a result. There is podcasting, distributing audio files that talk about a business venture. People are moving away from TV, radio and the yellow pages in vast numbers to gather up to date information on the web.

A series of articles placed in blogs and article directories like goarticles.com and USFreeads.com can catapult a product launch. All you need to do is provide your email address or a link to your web site. Google Adwords and Yahoo search marketing allow you to bid on popular keywords allowing for direct targeting to your services using search engines. (Care needs to be taken here as it can be expensive so consult an SEO expert initially about using the internet in marketing with Adwords.)

An online shop allows you to sell to anyone globally. Your revenue potential then becomes limitless.

Start Your Own Internet Marketing Business

Start your own home based Internet business

Welcome To WealthCatchers.com

In this first post I want to talk a little bit about legitimate home based business opportunities and your financial success.

It seems legitimate home based business opportunities are quickly catching on and becoming a viable option for more and more people every year. The advantages of a home based business are evident: low cost, flexible working hours and tax benefits, to name but a few.

I will only be talking about and recommending legitimate home Internet based businesses and I will do my best to steer you away from any of the old scams like multilevel marketing and other such stupid pyramid schemes.

The advantages of legitimate home businesses have pretty much been there for many years, so why the sudden growth?

Why are so many people starting their own home based businesses right now, and why would Internet marketing be a good thing to consider for so many others?

First of all there is worldwide economic uncertainty and many economies are either facing a recession or are in the middle of one. Open any newspaper and you can’t miss articles on companies downsizing and laying off employees by the thousands. Internet marketing offers people the chance to create a part time auxiliary income, right beside their day job.

This kind of extra income has proven a great help to many families across the world. Of course many Internet marketers have made a full time living out of their business. Some of them have made fortunes. But this level of success, although available to anyone who is willing to do the work, will not be for most people. Most marketers run a part time business for a small number of hours a week earning them a couple hundred bucks a month.

The Internet has greatly helped making the world smaller, making it easier to find and disperse information.

The cost of home office equipment has decreased considerably. These days you can set up a home office for just a couple hundred bucks. Some may argue that you don’t even need that much. Any computer with an internet connection and a phone would be enough for most Internet marketers to operate their business.

This makes it affordable for everyone to start a home based business. Compare this to the cost of running a normal business and it becomes clear why more and more people are being attracted to a home based opportunity.

And then there is the growing lack of trust in the corporate world. Not too long ago, people where quite used to having a job for life. Or at least until they decided to quit. Nowadays many people have come to realize that job security is a joke. Too many people have lost their jobs more than once only to find out that they were nothing but a number to their corporate employer.

It’s not just the fact that you have to go out to find another job to feed your family. It’s also the fact that you’ve been listening to your employer bloating about the importance of their human assets when in the end in turns the employees where just considered human assets.

Internet marketing not only offers people a chance to create some extra income, it also provides them with the opportunity to get some of their dignity back. Helping them realize that they don’t necessarily have to depend on their employers paycheck.

The advantages of a home based business are evident and in the near future we will certainly see more of it. Looking at today’s trends in the economy it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the era of monolithic companies offering jobs for life has ended. It’s time to have the courage to bet on yourself again and home based business is a good way to do so. And for those people that decide to take this step, taking a serious look at Internet marketing is just common sense. Even in a time where common sense isn’t that common anymore.
